Why not blame technology for panic attack medication issues?
Republicans blame Democrats and Democrats blame Republicans for just about every known issue to mankind, so why not technology in in this case?
In fact, you can even make a case that Republicans and Democrats are the root cause for the actual need for panic attack medication. Politics and politicians make all of us want to take medication just from listening to their spin on the issues.
The current trend of everything being a "crises" that needs to be fixed can only be lending a hand in the rapidly growing anxiety problem and resulting panic attacks people are experiencing. Compound that by the implication that we are all incompetent idiots who need government to show us the way only makes some feel even more inadequate; driving self-esteem even lower.
As you can see this isn't another boring article that academically lists all the panic attack medication with their benefits and side-effects.
This is an article on current trends that have multiplied the prescription and usage of panic attack medication.
Advertisement on television, radio, internet and print tout the need for you to insist that your doctor give you this magic pill that will change your life. Doctors are bombarded with incentives and free samples to give out to thier patients.
Has the world's technology outpaced the human brain's ability to process and cope with the issues and make rational decisions?
Remember the "good ole days" or your parents telling you about life before computers, ipods, video games and dvds? How we survived without cell phones and the internet. When you had a choice of 3 and maybe up to 5 television stations?
Life was simpler. It wasn't more anxiety free or stress free. There were different types of anxiety and stress. And, panic attacks even existed back then.
But, there wasn't panic attack medication. Was it because there wasn't a need; actual or percieved.
Maybe it was because our "personal world" was smaller and evolved around strong family relationships.
We didn't see the horrors of war and poverty in living color and sound. We knew it existed and we knew it was horific, but the majority of people didn't see it and hear about it 24/7/365.
Even the television programming and music has turned violent and message driven. It is no longer a form of escape and relaxation. It certainly is not soothing.
Millions of people compound their stress and anxiety levels by watching the problems that Kate and Jon plus 8 have, or the world worst drivers and dumbest criminals. How many different ways do we have to see people be killed and disected in Bones, NCSI, Southland, Lie to Me or CSI name this city?
No wonder we react to those commercials telling us we need to take panic attack medication.
Anxiolytics, anti anxiety pills, Benzodiazepines or benzos, Paxil, Prozac, Xanax, clonazepam, and Valium oh my.
Doctors now even recommend that you take one of these medications before a serious medical procedure or surgery so that your level of anxiety will decrease.
But, technology and politicians are here to stay. So, do we need panic attack medication or are their alternative natural methods. And, natural methods that will actually work the way they claim.
For extreme uncontrollable cases anxiety and panic attacks medication may be necessary and required.
You owe it to yourself to take a break from the chemical world to solve your issues and deal with your anxiety naturally. It is much safer and will leave you feeling better about life.
I grew up in simpler times. I suppose I am to blame for giving my child all the access to today's technology and perhaps that is what caused the anxiety and panic attacks my child suffered as a teenager and young adult. Who knows, but we did search the world to find the best panic treatments that did not involve panic attack medication.
